Stainless Steel 202 sheets and plates are mainly made from iron with the addition of chromium (16–18%), manganese (7.5–10%), nickel (4–6%), and a small percentage of nitrogen, carbon, and other elements. The materials have a mechanical tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of approximately 275 MPa, with good elongation and hardness.
